Waves - Long Kimono Cotton Robe
$ 210.00
DETAILS
Our new "Long Kimono Cotton Robe's" is made by hand - using hand blocked printing which is an old printing technique worth saving as far as we are concerned. Lotta has always designed clothes honoring old handicrafts and block printing has been a huge part of our collection for a long time & we are VERY excited to offer our customers some more handmade earthy items again.
This LONG KIMONO ROBE is made in a very soft cotton that with each wash will just get softer and softer over time, fast becoming that favorite item for those that LOVE SOFT fabrics. The shape is an easy fit and has a matching self belt & we are making them in very limited runs and some are one of a kind.
The model is a small and the fit is tried and proven up to a XL and if the item is left more open in the front XXL can fit as-well. The width from front edge to front edge across the body is 55" wide. Our "Long Kimono Cotton Robe" is 54" long. The short robe is 38/39" from top of shoulder to the hemline
CHECK OUT our "Layering Slips" for our soft cotton liners.

History:
Lotta Stensson's cotton & silk prints are printed using wood blocks carved by skilled carvers. This old printing technique starts with each block being hand carved from seasoned teak wood according to Lottas drawings & designs, that is soaked in oil for 15-20 days to soften the grain in the timber. It takes experienced artisans several days to print & make the fabric for one of our designs. Block printing and Batiking to name a few of the hand processes, are passed down from generations and is a dying art we hope to help preserve.
